| To
use a computer, a patron must: |
| •find
an unoccupied computer, |
| •type
in his/her library card number and PIN, |
| •have
no overdue materials or late fines, |
| •for minors, parents must
sign for permission on the minor's registration card. |

for help if you have any questions. |

What
we don't allow:  |
|
•Access
by a minor to inappropriate material.
•Violation of state or federal obscenity laws.
•Hacking and other unlawful online activities.

•Invading
the privacy of another user
•Downloading any non-library software.
•Using another patron's library card or PIN.
|

How Long?: |
•In the Computer Lab, patrons are allowed 1.5 hours on
a computer. Stand-ups, Teens, and Children's start with 30 minutes, with a 30 minute extension if needed.
•A patron is allowed 1 session a day. |

What
you need to know about Internet Filtering: 
•By
law, Dodge City Public Library is required to filter the
internet to protect minors from potentially offensive
materials.
•However, filtering software is not 100%
effective.
• The library does not allow minors to access the
internet without the parent/guardian signing for permission on the minor's registration card.
•A parent or guardian may retrict a minor's Internet
use.
•Anyone over 18 may ask to have the filtering disabled
for their session. Proof of age may be required.
•Any patron caught violating library policy will
be asked to leave. |

it true?: |
The
library cannot warrent material from the Internet, nor can
we guarantee accuracy. The user must use his/her judgement
about the accuracy of any information accessed from the
Internet.
