Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas

Dodge City Public Library's children's department was a December 2010 recipient of a grant from the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas. The library received a grant in the amount of $700 to purchase story time activity materials. With this grant the children’s department will be purchasing flannel board stories, a big book holder, musical instruments and a parachute and bean bag set. This will give the children the opportunity to hear and participate in stories and activities giving them an opportunity to express themselves. The children also begin learning the basics of reading and social interaction. The library would like to thank the Community Foundation for their support for this project and for the library.
