Q. Did Daisy, the Bumsteads' dog in the long-running comic strip "Blondie," ever have
puppies?
A. Yes, Daisy did have puppies --- a litter of five, in fact. They first appeared in the cartoon in the 1940's. However, they eventually disappeared from the strip as they were adopted by Blondie and Dagwood's neighbors.
Q. What is a gustnado?
A. The National Weather Service Office in Norman, Oklahoma defines a gustnado this way:
"A small tornado, usually weak and short-lived, that occurs along the gust front of a
thunderstorm. Often it is visible only as a debris cloud or dust whirl near the ground." |
